Top Ten Reasons to Give to GVT:    10. We are West Virginia's only year-round professional theatre.  9. There is always someone learning about the performing arts at GVT! We have an exceptional Youth Education Program that includes an intensive two-week Summer Drama Camp, an After-School Drama Club during the school year, an Apprenticeship/ Internship program for high school and college students, and classes for adult learners. 8. We tour productions into underserved rural areas, because we believe that art is indigenous to our region, not just an imported commodity, and geography should not be a barrier.  6. GVT has been a vital arts organization in the Greenbrier Valley since 1967.  5. We have a history of excellence, recognized recently through the Governor's Arts Award for Artistic Excellence -- given to our very own Artistic Director Cathey Sawyer.  4. GVT offers more programming than many similar theatres throughout the country: not only do we offer year-round main stage productions, but we also have a great music series, youth productions for all ages, a Community Festival of Plays, a Literary Tea Series, and we host numerous events for other organizations in the area.  3. We have a dedicated, hardworking staff, wonderful volunteers who help at every turn, and a visionary, enthusiastic Board of Trustees and Advisory Board, all committed to our mission to enlighten, enrich and enliven the life of our region.  2. We appreciate your help very much and wanted to let you know that there are also several ways to contribute to GVT and receive extraordinary recognition for your donation. There are many naming opportunities available at the theatre. For example, you can purchase a handprint tile in the Kids' Gallery and have the name of a special child in your life placed on the tile. Also available are very prominent sidewalk stars in front of the theatre. Additionally, if you have a special fondness or connection to a certain part of the theatre, you can have it named for you.
