The Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, WV, the “State Theatre of West Virginia,” welcomes applications for an Assistant Technical Director, a currently seasonal position beginning April 1 through Dec. 19, 2024, with a weekly salary of $600.00 with local housing provided and a $200 travel allowance.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
-Stage carpentry experience and skills -Knowledge and safe use of standard scene shop tools -Ability to read and understand design and construction drawings -Rigging skills as applicable to a large Black Box theatre -Ability to serve as supervisor to “intern” level co-workers -Must be capable of ladder work and the typical physical activity associated with backstage production work -Valid driver’s license -Possess a positive work ethic and collaborative spirit
-Will agree to adhere to the policies and procedures as established in the Greenbrier Valley Theatre Operations Manual

PRODUCTION INTERN

This is a seasonal position that begins on or around May 13, 2024 with a weekly salary of $375 and local housing provided free of charge. Production Interns participate in a variety of production related duties as well as serving as crew for performances. Contracts end on Dec. 19, 2024.
Candidates should possess the following:
-Knowledge of basic stagecraft and production/run crew duties
-Knowledge and safe use of standard scene shop tools -Must be capable of ladder work and the typical physical activity associated with backstage production work -Valid driver’s license -Possess a positive work ethic and collaborative spirit

This is a seasonal position that begins Apr. 29, 2024, with a weekly salary of $375.00 and local housing provided free of charge. Costume Apprentices participate in a variety of production related duties as well as serving as crew for performances. The contract ends on Dec. 19, 2023.
Basic responsibilities are as follows:
-to fulfill the duties of a Costume Apprentice, assisting in the creation or obtainment of, the fitting and maintenance of costumes for all GVT productions
-to serve as running crew for select GVT productions
-to assist with special event set-up/strike
-have a Valid driver’s license -possess a positive work ethic and collaborative spirit -agree to adhere to the policies and procedures as established in the Greenbrier Valley Theatre Operations Manual
