Whether it’s your first or 50th time at Greenbrier Valley Theatre taking in an entertainment event, you’re bound to be in need of a few recommendations to ensure you have the most epic experience possible. These tips are sure to make your visit with us unforgettable.

Alcohol Serving and Consumption

For most events at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. All guests may be required to show ID to purchase alcohol. Guests are not permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages from outside and may not leave with alcohol purchased inside GVT. Management reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.

Please be aware that it is the policy of GVT to require all guests who appear to be forty (40) years of age or younger to present a valid form of ID with proof of age in order to purchase alcoholic beverages Pursuant to applicable State law, we accept only the following forms of identification:

·       A valid driver’s license or non-driver identification card issued by the United States Government, a State Government, Commonwealth, Possession or Territory of the United States or a Provincial Government of Canada (except Canadian ID other than a valid passport will not be accepted at GVT)

·       A valid passport

·       A valid U.S. military ID

Animals

We love animals as much as you do, however, only service and emotional support animals are permitted inside GVT during performances and events.

Attire

We want our patrons to be comfortable during performances and events. Business casual attire is recommended.

Box Office

Monday-Saturday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. EST, and 1 p.m. to curtain on show nights. Ticket discounts cannot be combined.  

Cameras/Photography

We want you to be able to re-live the epic experiences you have at our venue, however, camera equipment can get in the way of your fellow fan’s enjoyment and can distract the performers. Video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices and cameras will not be permitted inside GVT.

Due to our contracts with the Actors Equity Association and with production agreements, video and/or audio recording of any performances by any means whatsoever is strictly prohibited.

Coat Check

We have a coat closet available for use. GVT is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Code of Conduct

We ask all guests to be respectful of others around them. Any guest who interferes with the enjoyment of another individual during an event is subject to ejection from the building. During performances, we ask all guests to remain seated for the duration of the performance. Guests are permitted to stand if the majority of the audience is doing the same. We welcome young ones into our theatre, but we do ask that parents be conscious of other patrons’ theatrical experience.

Disabled Services

Meeting the needs of our guests with disabilities at GVT is a never-ending commitment—we want to make your visit with us an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Call the box office at 304-645-3838 with any questions or concerns.

First Aid

The safety and well-being of our guests is very important to us—if you begin to feel ill or find that you require medical assistance, please see an usher immediately.

Handouts/Leaflets/Vending

The distribution of promotional items, flyers, handbills or printed materials is not permitted without written permission of GVT. In addition, vending, peddling or product sampling is not allowed.

Lost and Found

Whether you misplaced something before, during or after an event, we’re here to help. Please contact our box office at 304-645-3838 or speak with an usher for further assistance.

Outside Food and Beverages

We’re all for you grabbing a bite to eat or a drink before making your way to GVT for your event, however, any outside food and beverages (including cans and bottles) are not permitted inside.

Prohibited Items

In addition to the above mentioned items, there are a few things that are not permitted inside GVT: Drugs, Firearms, Laser pens, Outside alcohol, Signs and banners, Smoking and Weapons

By law, smoking in all areas of GVT is prohibited. You may smoke outside the theatre building; however, you must retain your ticket for admittance back into the building.  If you have any questions regarding re-entry please speak with a guest services representative prior to exiting the venue.

Ticketing

Box office. Monday-Saturday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. EST, and 1 p.m. to curtain on show nights. Ticket discounts cannot be combined. 

GVT has a no refund policy, but a flexible exchange policy is in place. Exchanges must be made through the box office and tickets cannot be exchanged after the scheduled performance start time. Any exchange requests made before that will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
